Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious — every plant-based meal was bursting with flavour and made with love. You could really taste the freshness of the vegetables, all harvested straight from their on-site maara (garden). The quality and care that went into each dish was next level. The service was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Such a beautiful vibe all around. Highly recommend to anyone who loves wholesome kai (food) and great hospitality — I’ll definitely be back!
If you want to eat somewhere taste and feel like home…….this is the place! I 100% recommend coming here and get a bit of everything. We got the Fish Pie, Seafood Chowder, Fish and Chips, Chocolate Eclair, Steak and Onion Roll with Fried Bread The food is delicious and fresh, it’s affordable, the staff there are super friendly and they were very fast when they were serving the food. It was my first time coming and I will definitely come back with the family
Must visit when in Auckland. Beautiful Cafe with amazing food and super friendly team at the Cafe. We were driven to visit this place by the amazing work they do at the Marae and for the community. We’re happy with our order and I really love the sandwiches and the green salad. Thank you for the extra amazing cake and eclairs. Would love to visit again. Check their website for more information on the initiative run at the Marae and check their Fb page for the opening hours.
Best coffee I’ve had in so long and the kai (food) does not disappoint. The loveliest customer service alongside the cost is too good. Rate A+ all round
Food was nice. Love the cheese scones. Coffee was good. On top of that their service was excellent; welcoming staff. They are very busy. Definitely will come back again and again.
Food was hot! Steak was tasty, mushroom sauce was delicious and the fry-bread soaked up all the sauce! Side with hot chips Can’t go wrong.
What an uplifting surprise! Atmosphere here is huge! This cafe would rival any up-market establishment with ease! At the top of the menu is “Koha” soup of the day, accompanied by a delicious portion of uniquely NZ bread, done just right! it’s an attack on the taste buds! You wont find this on any menu anywhere else, and sure as chips wont be as good as this place is! I had more than that, but I wont mention every item LoL! There’s a lot more going on here aside from a top menu! Oh & the coffee was mint! Beautiful place!
If you want to experience a cafe that serves hearty food, in the heart of Mangere, where the manaakitanga is on point, Koha Cafe does not disappoint. The pork and watercress pie was delicious, as was the chocolate eclair and the coffee. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!
